Ecuador’s largest poultry processing operation has chosen a Synel partner to expand its computerized T&A system
PRONACA, Ecuador’s largest poultry processing operation has chosen La Competencia S.A., a Synel partner in Quito, Ecuador, to expand its computerized time and attendance system.
PRONACA selected La Competencia, S.A. to implement a complete a time and attendance system that requires the installation of 80 Synel SY-765 terminals in addition to the incorporation of 30 SY-760 terminals that had already been operating at certain PRONACA sites.

The estimated time frame for completion of the project is the second quarter of 2011.
The SY-765 delivers a number of features well matched to PRONACA’s needs in their unique business sector and environment such as the ability to read the esoteric identification badges that PRONACA employees currently use. In addition, the Synel terminal offers the flexibility for La Competencia, S.A to implement custom applications required by the complexities involved in the management of an industrial operation of this size. These requirements include a solution with a flexible time management application to accommodate the complicated employee shifts as well as access control for all staff, regardless of location in which the given employee may be working.
With 40 locations and 6000 employees PRONACA operates food processing plants in major cities and distribution centers across the nation. PRONACA ranks third position among the 500 largest companies in the Ecuador. Although PRONACA is primarily known for its poultry processing operation, it also processes a wide variety of other foods such as fish, eggs and frozen foods.
Being a food processing plant, PRONACA also requires terminals that offer durability while providing an aesthetically pleasing form factor.
