Lesson 6 – SY-400 Access Control

SY-400 On-Line

The SY-400 is an online access controller that can support one or two doors and can communicate with Harmony using any of the following communication lines:

  • TCP/IP
  • PoE
  • Serial
  • GPR0S1

 

 

 

The SY-400 can be connected to any of the following reader types:

  • Fingerprint Reader
  • Proximity
  • Barcode
  • Magnetic23

In case of a power cut or network failure, the SY-400 can hold up to 20,000 transactions and will update the software once power / network is back

1.1.   Steps for Defining the SY-400 Controller

  1. Add terminal type SY-400
  2. Modify Card type – badge reading format

  3. IP Address (if there is no TCP/IP, define the ID instead)
  4. Fingerprint (optional)
